MALACCA: The nation had added another feather on its cap by unveiling an innovative product called ‘Hydro Carbon Recovery Gas Compressor’, touted to be the first of its kind in the world.
The product inventor, Mohd Noor Wahid who is also the chief executive for Tonggak Engineering & Maintanence Sdn Bhd had worked on his invention last year.
He spent RM800,000 on research and development purposes and is in the midst of patenting his invention

The Hydro Carbon Recovery Gas Compressor can be used to extract flared gas from oil rigs to be processed as consumer products such as LPG and LNG.
Tonggak Engineering & Maintanence Sdn Bhd is manufacturing the hydrocarbon gas compressor which is applicable on oil rigs.
Mohd Noor said he chose Malacca to launch his product as the state strongly emphasises on green technology.
Chief minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam who launched the product said the nation should not focus on manufacturing, automotive and agriculture sector but also strive towards seeking new innovations in technology that are deemed environmental-friendly.
He added that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had also emphasised widely on the need to research and develop innovative products.
